Québec, March 11, 2012 – The Québec City Auto Show, presented by La Capitale General Insurance, in partnership with Castrol, closed the doors of its 31th edition after welcoming 64,106 visitors during six days from March 6 to 11, 2012 at the Centre de foires de Québec. An edition that ends with a significant increase in traffic compared to previous years.
Nathalie Parent, President of the 31st edition, is pleased with the success of this car event which is the most popular in Quebec “the results are very positive, the public was delighted with the variety of vehicles, the beauty of the booths and the thematically related attractions proposed. With this expansion, the Québec City Auto Show once again demonstrates its commitment to constantly renew and we are very proud.”
The “Propulsez-vous” area was a great success as it allowed the public to experience the sensations of a real racing driver using the Autonet simulator, chat with drivers on-site and admire the cars from CTCC.
With the support of the CCARQ’s Mobilis Foundation, the Grand tour de roue Yves Landry, fundraising for the benefit of the CHUQ’s Centre Mère-Enfant, was a great success. Launched at the Charity Preview Evening of the Auto Show, Monday, March 5, this fundraiser has collected a total of $20,249.14 throughout the duration of the Auto Show for the CCARQ’s Mobilis Foundation. An unequivocal success to help children with cancer! Furthermore, over 600 guests attended the Auto Show’s Charity Preview evening which helped to raise a total of more than $60,000 to the benefit of the CCARQ’s Mobilis Foundation.
